We are thrilled to share insights from the second transnational meeting held at Universidade Lusófona in Lisbon, Portugal, on October 25th and 26th, 2022. Representatives from Poland, Turkey, Italy, Belgium (participating online due to health reasons), Finland, and Portugal gathered to discuss and advance our collaborative project. Here's a brief overview of the key highlights and outcomes:
During this two-day gathering, participants focused on: Risk Analysis: Frank Hiddink from the Open Education Community Foundation (Belgium) presented findings from the "risk analysis" questionnaires. Notably, these surveys received a substantial response from both students (nearly 1200) and teachers (over 70). They revealed that face-to-face bullying was the predominant issue, emphasizing the project's significance.
A detailed discussion on the factor and needs analysis task highlighted the need for a new Likert-scale questionnaire to gather precise and objective data. To ensure its validity, consultation with a psychology professional, Prof. Diogo Morais, was initiated.
Partners outlined their responsibilities for project dissemination across various platforms, including social media and the project website. The official websites content was reviewed, with partners providing valuable suggestions.
The meeting concluded with plans for future meetings: The next meeting in Turkey will take place on September 19th and 20th, 2023. The subsequent meeting in Finland is scheduled for February 21st and 22nd, 2024. This productive meeting demonstrated the commitment of all partners to address the pressing issue of bullying in schools, fostering a safer and more inclusive learning environment.
